THE PASSION BEHIND OUR FOOD
Our passion began when we started traveling around the world. We tried so many different foods from so many different ethnicities and thought hey why don’t we have this back home? Each trip we would come home and try to make each of those delicious meals we had abroad that we really enjoyed. But we wanted more, more than just one countries food at a time. This is when we started to make them into small bite size amazing treats. We shared with friends and family and everyone so far loved them as much as we did. We just love to make and share our findings with everyone and would like to share them with you. We are striving to gather street food from around the world, perfect the taste as if it was made there, and put that into another delicious bite-sized treat that everyone can enjoy. We will not stop until the taste is as original as can be. Try one of our international bites with a Brazilian Flair and tell us what you think. We want everyone to feel as if they are still home eating their authentic homemade dishes.
THE THESE BITES STORY
I will always remember me and my mother making Brazilian Pastels in our small kitchen when I was just a child. We would sit together and just talk of the past when we were still living in Brazil when I was very young and making the pastels with the whole family. She would tell me her and my grandmother would also do the same and she just loved passing down our tradition. Back in Brazil my family was very poor and they would sell these on the streets to make some extra money. I loved her stories and also loved making the pastels with her. When she passed I knew I would sit with my daughter and do the same and pass down our old family tradition. We have made these for years for friends and family and especially on special occasions. Everyone has always told us go public and sell them as everyone loved the way they tasted. We knew we wanted to carry on our tradition and now we can, we make them into a small bites for everyone to try. It is our journey and we love what we do and we hope everyone will love These Bites as we share each of them with you.
We did not want to stop there with just the Brazilian Pastel, we know there is delicious cuisine everywhere from around the world and we want to try it all. When we started traveling we began to taste the street foods from every country we visited. This is when we thought to make These Bites to be an International bite and not just Brazilian Pastel we have grown to love. We want the worlds street food to be available to everyone here in the States to enjoy. Each bite is built upon the traditional Brazilian Pastel so each bite will have that Brazilian Flair. Our passion here at These Bites is for everyone from around the world to have a taste of their favorite countries food into one of our small bites.
We are still on the journey of finding more and more street foods from around the world and we hope you will join us in this amazing time.
